Trinity Sunday
Almighty God, Creator, Son and Holy Spirit, we find comfort and peace in You. We are blessed and thankful to have You in our lives. For You giving us this life. We are privileged to listen and know of Your Word through our pastors, our preachers, our community. We know of Your Love through words spoken at the pulpit or the words of peace we share with one another, of actions that bring people up or simple acts of kindness that spark joy in our hearts, making us believe that amidst the turmoil in the world and in our lives, there is good in our Earth, that You are here with us.
Lord God, engulf our world with Your Light. So much of our earthly home is plunged in darkness. Calamities, both natural and man-made, have taken away lives, destroyed homes, put many in uncertainty. We pray for Venezuela, South Africa and Iran. We pray for Palestine and Hong Kong. We pray for our respective homelands. May the tiniest of voices be heard, may justice be upheld at all times, and the interests of the people be given priority.
Lord God, we pray for change makers in our church, our city and the world. Bless the hands of film makers, artists and creatives who weave their craft to teach and share understanding, acceptance and compassion. Bless our ministers, leaders and community who with a rich diversity of talent, skills and passions, we become united in celebrating You, serving our community, always striving to do Your will. With You, Lord God, All Shall Be Well.
In the ecumenical prayer cycle, we pray for Angola and Mozambique. May they continue to heal from the scars of wars and colonisation long-past. May their call for land, food security and better services be realised. Please guide them as they continue to build, become better and stronger.
Dear Lord, You continue to show Yourself to us. That nothing is impossible with You. That with You, we have the capacity to do good, to make better with our choices, and to see the best in people. May Your fires of justice burn in our hearts. Use us as vessels of Your Light and Love. We will all strive to do Your bidding, Lord God. Make us a channel of Your peace, of Your mercy, of Your joy. And all these we do for Your greater glory. To You, Lord God, Creator, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
Let us all pray the Lord’s Prayer. You may pray them in the language most comfortable to you.
